Hi, friends,
I hope you and yours are well. I can hardly believe we’re closing in on the end of November. Time has felt especially strange to me since the beginning of the pandemic, and I still don’t have a good handle on it. But I don’t want to take it for granted.
In fact, I don’t want to take anything for granted right now.
This coming week marks the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S. For me, it’s a holiday that brings up a lot of complicated feelings, so I don’t celebrate. But I do like to consider what I feel grateful for. Given the ::waves hands:: state of the timeline we’re living in, it feels important to acknowledge gratitude. And in my case, to post about it here and on social media. To paraphrase a dear friend, I want the thoughts, feelings, and information I send into the world to be signal, not noise.
In that spirit, and starting with this post, I’ll be noting a bit of gratitude every day through the end of 2023. If you feel so moved, I’d love it if you’d join me, whether that means posting about what you’re grateful for or naming it aloud or silently, in your heart.
I’m grateful for the call of the gees flying over my house.
I’m grateful for unexpected sunshine and cozy slippers.
I’m grateful for you.
All my best,
Leslie
